That’s me, crouched on the beach in the freezing cold, wearing just a hoodie, taking a photo of a car. Seems a little ridiculous, right? But those are the kinds of images you don’t usually see. I chose this as my “About Me” photo because if we ever meet, this is exactly how I’ll be—oddly dressed, camera in hand, completely in my element.

I taught myself photography a few years back as a way to express myself (yeah, I know—cliché). Like most, I never thought it would take me as far as it has. These days, photography is more of a side passion. I don’t actively seek clients, market myself, or upgrade my gear. But I still have my cameras, and I think I might still remember how to use them.

A few things to know about me: I’m autistic—high-functioning, to be specific. If we meet, please don’t say, “You don’t seem autistic” or “Are you sure?” I hear that a lot, and honestly, it’s offensive. I’ve lived with this for 30 years and learned how to navigate life without it holding me back. As the saying goes, you don’t know my story.

Before photography, I spent most of my life in fire and EMS, eventually becoming an EMS Field Operations Supervisor. From the age of 16 through my late twenties, that was my world—until I landed my dream job working with trains.

Outside of work and photography, I also dabble in public speaking on topics like being an autistic adult, growing up homeless, coping with PTSD, and simply overcoming. If that’s something you’d like to chat about, let’s make it happen.

And hey, if you still want to collaborate—as the kids say, slide into my DMs.
